WINNERS

We want to start with an enormous THANK YOU for being a part of the 2023 Tokyo Tower Climb and Step Up Challenge. From World Suicide Prevention Day to World Mental Health Day and through last weekend at the Tokyo Tower Climb, so many of you raised your voices and your sneakers to MOVE FOR MENTAL HEALTH. All over Japan and beyond, you put yourselves out there for a better world and demonstrated the power of community kindness.

You walked the Rainbow Bridge with your colleagues; had sincere conversations with your families and loved ones; ran a half marathon; walked with schoolmates in Edinburgh; created nature art remembering those we’ve lost to suicide; donned tutus and matching t-shirts to run up Tokyo Tower; posted on social media; streamed on Twitch; and so much more. We are so inspired and humbled by your hearts, your deep caring, and your love, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

  • Raised ï¿¥3,658,980 in donations and ticket sales

winners ttc 2023

We are thrilled to announce that we exceeded our goal of 3 million yen in donations and ticket sales! We would like to thank Zoom Cares, Coca-Cola Japan, Bloomberg, Fujitsu, GSK, Nagashima, Ohno &Tsunematsu, Morgan Lewis, Edelman, Ashurst, Apex, and FGS Global for their generous support. We would also like to thank all of the organizations who gave their products, time, and services to make this event a success: Coca-Cola, Allied Moving, Warm Hearts Coffee, Cezars Kitchen, Seisen International School, and ASIJ.

These funds will play a vital role in helping TELL expand our services and reach more people in need throughout Japan in 2024. These services include our 24-hour coverage on our Lifeline from Saturday morning to Monday evening, summer Lifeline volunteer training, and extending our community outreach programs to schools, universities, evacuees, and community groups in Okinawa and Kyushu.

On behalf of the staff and board, we would like to acknowledge and thank everyone who Moved For Mental Health over the past month and helped to shine a spotlight on the importance of good mental health.
